The highlight of the wild fur auction was the exceptional results obtained for 13,800 marten (sable) offered. Competition from Italy, China, Greece, Germany, and Japan produced levels very firm to 10% higher than recent levels.

Beaver faired better than anticipated, and the only real disappointment was the Wild Mink prices.

Top Lot Beaver - $98.00 (US) purchased by Nobel Furs, Montreal.
